Galeria Reus is a contemporary art gallery based in Mallorca whose trajectory dates back to 2003. Over the years, the project has evolved through different forms of collaboration and programming, consolidating itself as a space dedicated to the research, production, and dissemination of contemporary art.

The gallery works with emerging and mid-career artists, supporting the development of their practices while creating a context for dialogue, experimentation, and reflection around the diverse forms of contemporary artistic expression. Its program is characterized by a diversity of languages and approaches, as well as an interest in establishing connections between the local artistic scene and the international context.

From Mallorca, Galeria Reus aims to actively contribute to the contemporary cultural ecosystem by promoting projects that encourage exchange, artistic research, and the development of new perspectives.

PANORAMA OPEN CALL

Since 2016, GALERIA REUS (formerly GALERIA FRAN REUS) has been organising PANORAMA, an international open call dedicated to supporting and promoting emerging contemporary artists.

Unlike many other open calls, PANORAMA has no age limit. We believe that being an emerging artist is defined by the stage of one's artistic practice rather than by age. For the past ten years, this philosophy has allowed us to discover outstanding talent from around the world while creating meaningful opportunities for artists at pivotal moments in their careers.

Across nine editions, more than 90 artists have been selected through PANORAMA, forming an international community of practitioners whose work reflects a wide range of artistic languages, research methodologies and contemporary concerns. Many former participants have since gone on to exhibit in museums, institutions, biennials and galleries worldwide, while several have become represented artists of GALERIA REUS.

PANORAMA was founded on the belief that galleries should not only present established artistic practices, but also actively contribute to discovering and nurturing the next generation of artists. The open call serves as a platform for visibility, professional development and dialogue, fostering connections between artists, curators, collectors and institutions.

After ten years, PANORAMA continues to grow while remaining true to its original mission: to identify exceptional emerging talent and help shape the future of contemporary art.
