Daniel Domínguez Romero (La Línea de la Concepción, Cádiz, 2000) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, sculpture, video, poetry, installation, and performance. Language—its accents, stumbles, and detours—takes center stage in Daniel Domínguez Romero’s work, where drawing, sculpture, text, and orality coexist as a single, ever-changing material. His works function as linguistic fragments transformed into images, a kind of expanded writing that records what the voice leaves behind. His work focuses on exploring language and communication through visual and plastic means, with a particular interest in the materialization of speech and oral transmission within his Andalusian context. Through processes of compilation and profound reorganization, he shifts words, gestures, and forms across different media. His methodology thus resembles that of the bricoleur, who does not start from certainties or fixed structures, but rather from fragments—linguistic, graphic, or experiential—that he reorganizes to produce new forms of relationship between language and image. |
