Galería Reus is a contemporary art gallery based in Mallorca whose trajectory dates back to 2003. Over the years, the project has evolved through different forms of collaboration and programming, consolidating itself as a space dedicated to the research, production, and dissemination of contemporary art.
The gallery works with emerging and mid-career artists, supporting the development of their practices while creating a context for dialogue, experimentation, and reflection around the diverse forms of contemporary artistic expression. Its program is characterized by a diversity of languages and approaches, as well as an interest in establishing connections between the local artistic scene and the international context.
From Mallorca, Galería Reus aims to actively contribute to the contemporary cultural ecosystem by promoting projects that encourage exchange, artistic research, and the development of new perspectives.

Bo Sun’s practice unfolded from a precessional engagement with industrial materials such as aluminium, perspex, resin and silicone. The convergence of these elements—bridging the relationship between the human body and other forms—became a compelling theme in Sun’s practice. He explores the paradox of recreating non-human skeletal forms using industrial materials while preserving the fragility inherent in bone structures. Sun designates aluminium as the “bone,” perspex as the “flesh” or “skin,” and, utilising metal fixtures, resin, and silicone as more flexible “joints,” reflects the delicate interplay between the natural and artificial. This contextual framework aims to rationalise organic forms into constructible components, unveiling autonomy from industrial structures and objects.
Often referred to as “The machine is trying to have an organic dream or trying to be alive” by the artist, Sun focuses on the contradiction inherent in presenting structures on the boundary between the organic and the man-made—industrial yet fragile—echoing themes of delicacy and alienation. Drawing inspiration from Charlie Fox’s This Young Monster, Sun strategically incorporates alienation and otherness to evoke empathy from audiences as well as brewing a sense of the uncanny.
